Open Enrollment Course Description
The Open Enrollment class is directed at students new to MultiGen software
or those who have been using the software but have never had any formal
training. Learning is accomplished through guided hands-on exercises, coupled
with contextual material presented by the instructor. All lectures and
exercises are directly related to real-world use of the product, so the
student is immediately productive upon completion of the course.
Prerequisites
This course assumes a reasonable level of practical graphics experience.
Students should be familiar with common 3D graphics terminology and its
application in modeling. MultiGen experience is not necessary, but it is
useful for students to have had some exposure to MultiGen before attending
class.
- Method of Instruction
- Interactive lecture and hands-on exercises using MultiGen on SGI workstations.
- Class Duration
- The class is organized into a three-day core class and two days of
Option training. Students who have completed the three-day core sessions
may opt to remain for training in those Options that interest them.
- Location and Tuition
- Open Enrollment classes are held at MultiGen's San Jose facility. Tuition
is per student, to be paid before class begins. Open Enrollment classes
are based on our MultiGen II Pro (formerly MultiGen) product and its options.
Both the class and course materials are also appropriate for MultiGen II
(formerly ModelGen) and GameGen II (formerly GameGen) students.
